Lightning in a thunderstorm
Wind storms in the pacific northwest fall trees, creating power outages for thousands throughout Western Washington each year. While we expect the worst of these storms to occur between October and January, additional weather events have become cause for concern and their disruptions are magnified by the volume of remote work in the region.

Wildfires, hurricanes, and ice storms have doubled the number of U.S. power outages over the past 20 years. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, these major weather events have also doubled the average power outage from 4 to 8 hours. Extreme heat, a fairly new phenomenon around the Puget Sound, can cause transformers to blow in summer months.

It’s important to be prepared for power outages and standby generators are a perfect solution for maintaining power and connectivity in all seasons.

Like an air conditioning unit, standby generators are permanently installed outside of your home and wired to an electrical panel with a transfer switch. They eliminate the need for power cords and provide a greater amount of power to your home than a portable generator.

Standby generators will automatically turn on when there is a power outage so you can rest assured even when you are away from home. Generators can power appliances, lights, chargers, and keep your internet connected during outages without you lifting a finger.
